About the Artist
Simon Prais has a modern orthodox Jewish appreciation of the Torah, and an art college training with master’s degree in visual communication – “Design considerations affecting the simultaneous use of Latin and Hebrew typography”.

He gained his knowledge of colour communication and graphics manipulation through his 35+ years’ professional career.

Simon is Technical Director of LUMESCA Group Limited (t/a Color Confidence), a company he co-founded in 1986. Originally known as TypeMaker, the business offered typesetting and design services to the then emerging desktop computer imagesetting market. The company has evolved to become a leading global supplier of colour management, photography and bespoke industrial graphics solutions.
Gematriart combines Simon’s diverse areas of expertise with a unique mix of creative and technical approaches. Some examples of my related work are listed below.
